Renovation of a former City owned property in Concord, NH known as Scandia Hall. This brick building was a neighborhood community center before being shuttered in 1994 for fire and safety concerns. It was left unattended and fell victim to vandalism and decay.
Working under a design/build construction agreement with the building's new owner, MCCI completely gutted and renovated the high ceiling, brick building turning it into four (4), two bedroom townhouse condominiums. Much of the original hardwood flooring on the second level was retained as were the narrow arched brick window openings. These tall arched windows gave the newly created residences a unique appearance while the worn hardwood floors provided an appealing and comfortable lived in warmth.
